1.Believeitornot!信不信由你!believeitornot意为“信不信由你”,是由whetheryoubelieveitornot变化而来,通常置于句首,后面加逗号,再接主句我居然收到了谢娜的来信,信不信由你!Believeitornot,IheardfromXieNa.信不信由你,我现在想家了Believeitornot,Iamfeelinghomesicknow.
2.Lookout,Eddie!埃迪,当心!lookout意为“留神,当心,小心”,多用于口语中,用来提醒人们注意当前的危险状态或不安全的场所及事物等当心!车来了Lookout!Thecarising.当心!水太深了Lookout!Thewateristoodeep.辨析lookout,takecare与becareful三者均有“小心,当心,注意”之意,常用于祈使句或警告对方时的用语中lookout语气最强,用于某种紧急的情况或者可能出现危险的场合,特别是当你已经看到有事发生,比如车要撞过来了,情况紧急,你可以大喊Lookout!Lookoutfortherockintheriver.当心河里的石头Lookout!You’llhitthatcar.当心!你要撞上那辆汽车了takecare语气不那么强,多用于对可能出现的不测作出预测的提醒或警告;takecare后还可接动词不定式(短语)或that从句,从句谓语动词用一般现在时Takecarenottobreaktheglass.小心别打碎了杯子Takecare(that)allthedoorsarelocked.不要大意,要把所有的门锁好becareful是一般的警告或劝告用语,通常是对未知的事情预先提醒或者表示关心既可单独使用,也可跟动词不定式或者of/with短语Becarefulnottolosethekey.当心不要丢了钥匙Thatmanbehindusmightbeathief.Becarefulwithyourbag.我们后面的那个男孩的可能是个小偷小心你的包
3.Peoplehavedifferentabilities.人们有不同的能力ability此处用作可数名词,意为“能力”,其复数形式是abilities,形容词形式为able,意为“有能力的”表示抽象意义的“能力”,为不可数名词他是一位有能力的人Heisamanofability.表示不同种类的能力时,为可数名词,可用复数形式不同的人有不同的能力Differentpeoplehavedifferentabilities.侧重指智慧、天资、天分等方面的意义时,可数或不可数均可,有时还可用复数形式这个女孩很有音乐天分Thegirlhasagreatmusicalability.大家都敬佩他的才能Everyoneadmiredhisabilities.表示有能力做某事或具有做某事的能力等,其后通常要接动词不定式我认为Kitty有当班长的能力IthinkKittyhastheabilitytobeourmonitor.
4.Wecansendsometothem.我们可以寄一些给他们send及物动词,意为“邮寄,派送”sendsth.tosb.意为“把某物寄给某人”,相当于sendsb.sth.,但是当send后表示物的词或者是代词时,只能用sendsth.tosb.形式,而不能用sendsb.sth.形式他们寄给我一箱子玩具Theysentmeaboxoftoys=Theysentaboxoftoystome.她给我寄了一张圣诞卡片ShesentmeaChristmascard.【拓展】

②payforsth.付某物的钱那个时候他还付不起这辆小汽车的钱Hecouldn’tpayforthecaratthattime.

④paysb.付钱给某人他们每个月给我们报酬Theypayuseverymonth.

10.Herleftlegwasbadlyhurtandshecouldnotgetout.她的左腿伤得很重,不能出去了hurt此处用作形容词,意为“受伤的”如果你受伤了,你应该去医院Ifyougethurt,youshouldgotothehospital.【拓展】

13.Latersomefiremencameandputoutthefire.后来一些消防员赶来扑灭了火putout及物动词短语,意为“扑灭;熄灭”当它的宾语是名词时,可以放在其后,也可以放在put与out之间;当宾语为代词时,只能放在put与out之间最后,警察把森林大火扑灭了Thepoliceputouttheforestfireatlast.=Thepoliceputtheforestfireoutatlast.不要在这里吸烟,请将它熄灭Don’tsmokehere.Pleaseputitout.
