(1)when“当……时”,引导时间状语从句时,从句用于表示主句动作发生的特定时间如Thedaysgetlongerwhenspringcomes.=Whenspringcomesthedaysgetlonger.春天到来时,白天变得更长了
(2)before“在……之前”,引导时间状语从句时,表示主句动作发生在从句动作之前如Closethedoorbeforeyouleavetheroom.离开房间前关上门
(3)after“在……之后”,引导时间状语从句时,表示主句的动作发生在从句的动作之后如IwenttoschoolafterIfinishedmybreakfast.吃完早饭后我就去上学了
(4)assoonas“一……就……”,引导时间状语从句时,表示主句动作紧接着从句动作发生如I’llcallyouassoonasIgethome.我一到家就给你打电话
(5)untiltill“直到”,引导时间状语从句当主句谓语动词是延续性动词时,主句常用肯定形式;当主句谓语动词是非延续性动词时,主句要用否定形式,即“not…until/till…”意为“直到……才……”如I’llwaithereuntil/tilltherainstops.我将在这里等着,直到雨停Youcan’tgohomeuntil/tillyoufinishyourwork.直到你完成你的工作,你才能回家下面再向大家透露点儿内幕消息,状语从句的两手绝活——时态的呼应和从句的位置请看●时态呼应一般来讲,复合句都要遵循主、从句时态呼应规律,状语从句也不例外即主句用现在时,从句也用现在时;主句用过去时,从句也用过去的某种时态如Becarefulwhenyoucrosstheroad.过马路时要小心Youmustseethedoctorifyouareill.如果你生病了,你必须去看医生主句是一般过去时,从句也要用一般过去时如Whenhewassevenyearsoldhecouldswim.当他七岁时就会游泳Sheturnedoffthelightbeforeshelefttheoffice.她离开办公室前就关了灯●主从句的位置大多数情况下,从句可以位于主句之前,也可以位于主句之后不过从句在前时,主从句之间必须用逗号隔开如Pleasetellmewhenhecomesback.=Whenhecomesbackpleasetellme2.地点状语从句 常用引导词where 特殊引导词whereveranywhereeverywhere Generallyairwillbeheavilypollutedwheretherearefactories. 7.让步状语从句I.evenif、eventhough、although、though引导的让步状语从句这四个词词组都有“虽然、即使、尽管”的意思evenif和eventhough语气比although和though强though比although通俗,但不如although正式,都不能和but连用,但可以和yet,still或nevertheless连用,可以放在主句前面也可以放在主句后面例如I’llattendProfessorYiZhongtian’slectureevenifitrainshard.即使天下着大雨,我也要去听易中天教授的报告Althoughitwasquitelateyettheywerestillstudyingintheclassroom.虽然时间很晚了,但他们还在教室学习II.as或though引导的让步状语从句形容词副词动词+as/though+主语+谓语分词名词【说明】◆由as或though引导的让步状语从句一般用倒装语序◆如果表语为单数可数名词,这个名词不带冠词◆如果句中谓语包含情态动词或助动词,则将实意动词放在as之前◆如果句中谓语仅有实意动词,则将实意动词原形放在as之前,并在主语后面加助动词do、does、did或will如果在这种情况下句中谓语有副词修饰,则将副词放在as之前例如Poorashewashewashonest.虽然他贫穷,但是他诚实Tryasyouwillyouwon’tmanageit.虽然你会努力尝试,但你不会成功的Failashedidhewouldnevergiveup.尽管他失败了,但他决不会放弃MuchasIadmirehiscourageIdon’tthinkheactedwisely.我虽然佩服他的勇气,但是我认为他这样做是不明智的III.由nomatter+wh词和由疑问词+ever引导的让步状语从句这类词有whatever、whichever、whoever、however、whenever、wherever等,它们相当于nomatter+whatwhich、who、how、when、where例如Hewillneversucceednomatterhow=howeverhardhetries.无论他如何努力尝试,他都不会成功Nomatterwho=Whoeverdoesitheshoulddoitwell.无论谁来做这件事,他都应该把它做好IV.由whether...or...引导的让步状语从句由whether...or...引导让步状语从句表示“不论……还是……”,提供两种对比的情况例如I’llattendyourweddingwhetherIamfreeornot.不管忙不忙,我都要参加你们的婚礼8.比较状语从句 常用引导词as同级比较than不同程度的比较 特殊引导词themore…themore…;justas…,so…;AistoBwhat/asXistoY;no…morethan;notAsomuchasB Sheisasbad-temperedashermother. Shebehavedasifsheweretheboss. Sometimesweteachourchildrenthewayourparentshavetaughtus.
10.状语从句的简化 ♠状语从句的省略 状语从句同时具备下列两个条件:
①主句和从句的主语一致,或从句主语为it;
②从句主要动词是be的某种形式从句中的主语和be动词常可省略例如 Whenthemuseumiscompletedthemuseumwillbeopentothepublicnextyear. He’llgototheseasideforhisholidayifitispossible. 另外,比较状语从句经常省略例如 I’mtallerthanheistall. Thehigherthetemperatureisthegreaterthepressureis. 就状语从句而言有时为了使语言言简意赅常常将状语从句进行简化状语从句的简化现象在口语中较为普遍而且在高考中的复现率也较高因此有必要对其进行全面、透彻的了解状语从句的简化现象常存在于以下五种状语从句中:
①由ifunless等引导的条件状语从句;
②由althoughthoughevenif/though等引导的让步状语从句;
③由whenwhileasbeforeafteruntil/till等引导的时间状语从句;
④由asasif等引导的方式状语从句;
⑤由asthan等引导的比较状语从句下面针对这五种情形作一归纳 1当状语从句的主语是it且谓语动词是be时it和be要完全简化掉例如: Ifitispossiblehewillhelpyououtofthedifficulty.如果可能的话他会帮你摆脱困境 Youmustattendthemeetingunlessitisinconvenienttoyou.除非情况对你来说不方便否则你必须出席这次会议 2当状语从句的主语和主句的主语一致时从句可以将主语和be动词简化掉常用于以下几种情形:a.连词+形容词 Ashewasyounghelearnedhowtorideabike.他小时候就学会了骑自行车 Wheneversheisfreesheoftengoesshopping.她有空就去逛商店 Workhardwhenyouareyoungoryoullregret.少壮不努力老大徒伤悲b.连词+名词 Whilehewasayoungboyhewasalwaysreadytohelpothers.他在孩提时代就乐于助人 Althoughhewasafarmernowheisafamousdirector.尽管他曾是个农民而现在是位著名的导演了c.连词+现在分词 Asshewaswalkingalongtheriverbankshewassingingapopsong.她沿着河堤边走边唱着流行歌曲 Althoughheisdoinghisbestinmathsthesedayshehasstillgotnogoodmarks.尽管近来他一直在学数学但他仍然没有取得好成绩d.连词+过去分词 Hewontgotherewithusunlessheisinvited.除非受到邀请否则他不会和我们一道去那里 Theconcertwasagreatsuccessthanitwasexpected.这场音乐会出乎意料地取得了巨大成功e.连词+不定式 Hestoodupasifheweretosaysomething.当时他站起来好像要说什么 Hewouldntsolvetheproblemevenifheweretotakecharge.即使他来负责他也解决不了这个问题f.连词+介词短语 Shelookedanxiousasthoughshewasintrouble.她看上去很焦急好像遇到了麻烦 HehadmasteredtheEnglishlanguagebeforehewasintheUSA.他到美国之前就懂英语了 注意:当从句主语和主句主语不一致时从句部分要么用完全形式要么用独立主格结构来表达例如: Whenthemeetingwasoverallthepeoplewentoutofthemeeting-room.当会议结束时人们都走出了会议室=Themeetingover【探究案(合作学习)】小组合作完成下列问题(各班根据自己班的具体情况决定做以下习题)
