1.语法讲解,情态动词could的用法情态动词的含义表示说话人对某一动作或状态的态度,表示“可能”,“应当”,“必要”等含义但情态动词本身词义不完全,不能单独作谓语,必须和动词原形连用情态动词没有人称和数的变化could的用法
1.could是can的过去式,在过去时态中表示能力,推测,可能性等eg:Whenhewasyounghecoulddrawwonderfulpictures.Theycouldn’tbeherefortheywereinLondonatthattime.
2.could用来表示请求给予帮助或请求允许,以示委婉的,礼貌的或不确定的语气,其句式为Could+主语+please+动词原形+其他成分而can则不具备这些语气,此时不能将它看作can的过去式eg:--CouldIuseyourcarforaday--Sure./Certainly./Ofcourse./Noyoucan’t.Ihavetogoout.说明1)做出肯定回答时通常用YesIcan./Sure./Certainly./Yesdoplease./Ofcourse./That’sOK./Allright.2)如果不同意,可以说I’msorry.Ican’t./I’mreallysorrybutIhavetouseittoday.要避免说Noyoucan’t.这样显得很不礼貌否定回答通常用委婉语气3)could在表请求的问句中是为了表示礼貌和委婉语气,用在应答中则变成了不确定的语气,与情理不符所以应答中不说Yesyoucould.或Noyoucouldn’t.Task
